CHARITY UZOECHINA TO REMAIN WITH ETSU NUPE TILL SEPT 17
MINNA-MISS Charity (Aisha) Uzoechina, the lady that was willingly convert to Islam and kept in the palace of Etsu Nupe,Alhaji Yahya Aubakar, for the past four months, will remain with the monarch untill September 17.
Charity cannot released by the Emir to either the parents or anybody until the case instituted by Charity is vacated by the Sharia court in Bida Niger State.
A suit filed by father of the girl, Pastor Raymond Uzoechina before a High Court in Bida, seeking to stop the Sharia court from listening to his daughter's case, last week, has been adjourned to September 17 for hearing.

Iyanya and manager Ubi Franklin donate N1million to OJB
Iyanya and his manager/business partner Ubi Franklin this evening
visited ailing super producer OJB Jezreel at his Gbaja, Surulere
residence and donated N1million to him. I learnt that OJB produced 'Gbadun You', the first track on Iyanya's first album after he won Project Fame in 2008.
Iyanya and Ubi returned from London this evening and went straight to see OJB. God bless them.

Youths nab 31 suspected Boko Haram suspects in Borno
MAIDUGURI—Youths Vigilante group in Borno State, otherwise known as Civilian JTF, weekend, arrested 31 Boko Haram suspects in various locations in Maiduguri metropolis amidst ovations and commendations from residents and soldiers of the Joint Task Force, JTF.
The arrested sect members were immediately handed over to the various local sector commanders of JTF for further interrogation and investigation.
The suspects were believed to have been dislodged from their training camps at Sambisa Games Reserves Forests and Kirenowa, a border community with Chad, after troops attacked the camps following declaration of state of emergency by President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to the chairman of the vigilante group, Abubakar Mallum, the suspects were nabbed at NEPA Market junction, Anguwar Doki, Shuwari II and Gambouru market, among other areas of Maiduguri metropolis.

20 robbers strike in Ogun, kill six
Hell was let lose on Saturday in Ifo community in Ifo local
government area of Ogun State when armed robbers, numbering about 20,
invaded the area and killed six people including five operatives of
the Ogun State Vigilante Service.
Sunday Vanguard learnt that the robbers were members of a gang
that specialized in robbing banks and allied institutions.
The robbers, who allegedly operated in an unmarked lorry, entered a filling station and shot the five men of the Vigilante Service guarding the place.
One of the petrol station attendants was also said to be unlucky as the robbers bullets hit him and he died on the spot.
The robbers were reportedly said to have engaged men of the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in a gun duel before they escaped.
When contacted, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident but stressed that only two persons were killed.
